Building with Integrity: 35+ Years Serving Yakima Valley

I’ve had the privilege of serving the Yakima Valley community for more than 35 years. Over that time, I’ve learned that strong buildings—and strong organizations—are built on the same foundation: integrity, clarity, and people who care deeply about doing things right.

More than 30 years ago, I founded Baxter Construction with a simple goal: to deliver quality work and stand behind it. What began as a local construction company grew into one of Washington State’s most respected construction and insurance restoration firms.

Along the way, I was honored to be named Washington State Remodeler of the Year and to receive the Yakima Chamber of Commerce Award for Community Excellence—recognition that reflects the incredible teams and clients I’ve worked alongside throughout my career.

Technical Expertise + Consulting Focus

My background is both hands-on and highly technical. I hold IICRC Master Certifications in:

  • Water Restoration
  • Fire Restoration
  • Upholstery & Fabric Cleaning

I am also an Asbestos Supervisor, BIAW Certified Builder, and BIAW Certified Aging in Place Specialist. These credentials, combined with decades in the field, have allowed me to develop deep expertise in insurance restoration, construction defect analysis, litigation support, and complex problem solving.

Today, I bring that experience to Baxter Consulting Group, where I focus on:

I have a deep passion for growing businesses and genuinely enjoy helping others achieve their vision and dreams of business ownership and leadership.

Helping companies move from uncertainty to clarity—and from potential to performance—is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Leadership Beyond the Job: Community, Family, and Life

Serving the community has always been important to me. I currently:

These roles allow me to invest in the next generation of leaders and strengthen the industries that have shaped my life’s work.

Family is at the heart of everything I do. I’ve been married to my wife for 34 years, and together we’ve raised five sons—each now married and serving in leadership roles within our family businesses. We’re also proud grandparents to nine grandchildren, all growing up in the Yakima Valley we’ve been blessed to call home for decades.

Outside of work, I enjoy adventure, learning, and time with family. I’m currently working toward earning my private pilot’s license, love traveling with my wife, and cherish time spent with our grandchildren at the family farm.

At this stage of my life and career, my focus is simple: to use what I’ve learned to help others grow, lead well, and succeed—with integrity, practical wisdom, and clarity.
